Coriell Names Mark Bellafante Chief Information Officer

Coriell Institute has named Mark Bellafante Chief Information Officer.

An accomplished IT professional with a diverse skillset, Mark directs a group of application developers and infrastructure administrators charged with supporting the Institute's key programs.

"Keeping current with technological trends has always been crucial to the success of the Coriell mission," says Dr. Michael Christman, president and CEO. "Mark is a proven innovator who leads a nimble team of IT experts responsible for making significant contributions to the scientific and operational outputs of the Institute."

"I anticipate that, under Mark's guidance, we will continue to introduce novel solutions and function as a cutting-edge organization," says Dr. Christman.

Before assuming his new role, Mark served as Coriell's director of information technology, steering a number of largescale projects, including the development and long-term support of the Coriell Personalized Medicine Collaborative research study's digital user platform.

He also has overseen the implementation of several logistics systems, ensuring that the Coriell Biorepositories can meet the requirements of a global network of academic and commercial research customers.
