Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs)

The NHGRI Sample Repository for Human Genetic Research (NHGRI Repository) offers a growing collection of human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The iPSCs were reprogrammed from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) using the non-integrating Sendai Virus method and subjected to rigorous quality control evaluation. Each iPSC is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis that includes detailed specifications regarding viability, sterility, authentication, cytogenomics, alkaline phosphatase staining, surface antigen expression of stem cell markers and differential potential.

More information on the NHGRI Repository iPCS collection can be found here

*Please note that Limited Use Label Licenses (LULLs) may apply:

Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Limited Label Use Licenses

The iPSCs available through the NHGRI Repository have been reprogrammed using technologies licensed by third party entities. Researchers purchasing iPSCs from the NHGRI Repository are responsible for any limited use label licenses (LULLs) applicable to the acquired NHGRI Repository iPSC(s). It is the researcher’s responsibility to investigate whether the intended use of the iPSC requires him/her to obtain commercial technology rights. Below are links to LULLs which may apply to NHGRI Repository iPSCs:

iPS Academia, Japan Inc. License– Licensing policy, as it pertains to the acquisition of iPSCs that make use of reprogramming technologies developed by iPS Academia Japan Inc.

Sendai-CytoTune License – License policy as it pertains to the acquisition of iPSCs that were generated using technology distributed by Thermofisher Scientific.

To obtain rights for the commercial use of Sendai reprogrammed cell lines please contact ID Pharma Co., Ltd. at info@idpharma.jp and Academia Japan, Inc. directly at license@ips-ac.co.jp or through ID Pharma Co., Ltd..
