The culture was initiated on 1/29/90 using explants of minced skin tissue removed ante-mortem during hernia surgery performed 3 days earlier. The cell morphology is fibroblast-like and the karyotype is 46,XY with 8% of the cells examined showing random chromosome loss, 2% showing random chromosome gain, and 2% showing 69,XYY. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product.
