Remarks |
The donor had a history of progressive dementia since age 87 years. Autopsy of brain revealed numerous neurofibrillary tangles and plaques. The culture was initiated on 6/18/85 by transformation of lymphocytes with Epstein Barr virus using a post-mortem blood specimen. The cells grow in suspension and their morphology is spherical. The karyotype is 46,XY; normal diploid male. 2% of the cells examined had random chromosome loss. Same subject as AG08259 (fibroblast) and AG27711 (stem cell). The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
