Clinically affected; diagnosed at age 41; paternal aunt diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer in her fifties; donor subject carries a nucleotide deletion in a non-coding intervening sequence occurring within two nucleotides of the beginning of exon 3 (IVS2-2delA) in BRCA1; two variants were also identified: a BRCA1 variant G890R (GLY890ARG) which results in the substitution of arginine for glycine at amino acid position 890 of the BRCA1 protein and a BRCA2 variant [VAL2739ILE (V2739I)] which results in the substitution of isoleucine for valine at amino acid position 2739 of the BRCA2 protein. |
