ISCN 46,X,-Y,del(2)(qter>p16:),add(5)(pter>q31::?),+mar[2]/92,XXYY[15]/46,XY[33]
Species Homo sapiens
Common Name Human
Remarks Culture established from normal full-term umbilical cord vein. The culture was initiated on 1/30/1996 by canulating the vein, flushing with saline and collecting the cells released from the lumen by collagenase digestion. The culture was grown on gelatin-coated flasks and the medium was supplemented with 0.05mg/ml crude ECGF and 0.05mg/ml heparin. Cells were frozen in growth medium containing 7.5% polyvinylpyrrolidinone and 5% DMSO.This culture tested positive for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor and negative for alpha-smooth muscle actin (immunofluorescence assays). The culture is a mosaic with karyotype: 46,X,-Y,del(qter>p16:),add(5)(pter>q31::?),+mar[2]/92,XXYY[15]/46,XY[33] The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product.
