Repository NIA Aging Cell Culture Repository
Subcollection GRC
Biopsy Source Arm
Sample Source Fibroblast from Skin, Arm
Race White
Family Member 1
Relation to Proband proband
Confirmation Clinical summary/Case history
Species Homo sapiens
Common Name Human
Remarks The biopsy site is the mesial aspect of the mid-upper left arm, taken antemortem. The primary culture was initiated from explants of a 2 mm-punch biopsy. The cell morphology is fibroblast-like and the karyotype is 46,XY; diploid male. A culture initiated from a biopsy taken 2 years later from this same donor is AG08433B. Donor is the father of AG05807A and the grandfather of AG05838B, AG06962, and AG13003. Donor's cousin is AG13099. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product.
