The Cytogenomics Laboratory at Coriell is a state-of-the-art facility performing conventional G-banded karyotype and molecular cytogenetic analysis on various human cell types including fibroblast, lymphoblast, and stem cells. The laboratory is equipped with a network of CytoVision™ Image Analysis and Capturing Systems, that work in conjunction with GSL automated slide loader, and CytoVision software to automate image capture and enhance the quality of G-band analysis.
Detailed analysis of genome-wide unbalanced chromosomal aberrations, such as copy number variations (CNVs) and loss of heterozygosity (LOH) or long contiguous stretches of homozygosity (LCSHs), are performed using the Affymetrix Genome-Wide Human SNP Array 6.0.
Cytogenomic analysis is interpreted and signed-out by a board-certified Cytogeneticist.
